The Hawks have a three-year, $61.5 million agreement in place with previous Oklahoma City Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari, sources told The Athletic on Friday. Contracts can not become main until twelve noon ET on Sunday.

Gallinari is an interesting fit on this roster, especially for that price. He is strictly a power forward at this phase of his profession, and undoubtedly the Hawks have a starting-caliber power forward on the roster in John Collins. Hawks basic supervisor Travis Schlenk discussed Collins and his being extension eligible previously this week.

” As I’ve mentioned in the past, John is a huge piece of our group, and we have the ability to start talking with agents Friday at 6 p.m.,” Schlenk said. “We’ll certainly engage with them, and our hope is to get something made with John, but we have to wait till Friday at 6 p.m.”
