Always expect the unexpected from the LEC. After a wild 31-minute match today, Group Vitality stunned League of Legends fans by removing Fnatic in their best performance of the 2021 Spring Split.

Prior to this match, many fans and analysts anticipated Fnatic to dominate Vitality from the get-go due to their kind over the previous two weeks. The seasonal European champions just recently took down G2 Esports, Excel Esports, SK Gaming, and Astralis over this stretch and looked like one, cohesive unit.

Vigor, on the other hand, looked like the complete opposite. A myriad of concerns appeared to affect the group, whether it was uncertainty or an absence of synergy as a squad. With just one win under their belt, a triumph here appeared not likely.

But Vitality showed off an incredible capability to play together with each other today throughout each phase of the game. From top laner Szygenda solo eliminating Bwipo to clean teamfighting, Vigor looked night and day when compared to their early split type.

With this loss, Fnatic (6-4) should now regroup after dropping their rather outstanding winning streak. Things didn’t seem almost as coordinated as they did over the past two weeks and losing against one of the lower-ranked teams in the league is a bad look. They’ll likewise need to fix their remaining concerns rapidly given that they have a match versus MAD Lions tomorrow.
