Only a few days have passed since Execration ended its campaign in the inaugural season of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC)-Southeast Asia Upper Division, however the group is currently preparing for the next one.

After a botched bid to receive the Singapore Major, Execration revamped its roster with the reacquisition of veteran Fernando “Nando” Mendoza and increasing star Jinn “Palos” Lamatao for the second DPC season.

The team revealed the advancement through a Facebook post on Sunday, Feb. 28.

Nando, referred to as a carry, changed offlaner Glenard “Rupido” Rugay while Palos retained his position-1 function.

Yuri Dave “Yowe” Pacaña go back to his initial role as a midlaner, filling deep space left by Argle “Ken” Llesis.

Execration hardly remained alive in the eight-team Upper Division in which the region’s Major agents are identified after ending up at No. 6 with a 2-5 record.

With Nando as a stand-in carry, the kids in black and blue managed a crucial 2-1 victory over 496 Gaming of Vietnam in a battle to stay in the elite group.

The 24-year-old Nando is no stranger to playing for the Kimuel “Kim0” Rodis-coached team as this is where the journeyman began his professional Dota 2 career.

In truth, this is Nando’s 5th stop with Execration after wearing for different teams consisting of Neon Esports and Cignal Ultra.

For his part, Palos played for Execration from September 2019 to October 2020 prior to relocating to Vice Esports, which he assisted get approved for the Upper Division.

However, Vice was relegated to the Lower Division after winding up with a miserable 1-6 record.
