Valve Manager Prefers Xbox Series X Over PS5
It’s constantly interesting to get the point of view of Valve Software application when a new console generation is on the horizon. The developer, which recently released Half-Life: Alyx for VR and is still going strong with Dota 2, is mostly understood for PC advancement. However how does its co-founder and present manager Gabe Newell feel about the Xbox Series X and PS5?
In an interview with New Zealand’s The Job, Newell was asked which console he thought was much better. “The Xbox.” But why? “Due to the fact that it’s much better!” Newell went into a bit more detail and mentioned, “I do not have a stake in that race. Undoubtedly, we do many of our development on computers. But of the two, I would certainly go with an Xbox [Series X]”.
It might be individual choice, being impressed with the slate of video games coming to Xbox Series X or arbitrarily picking one over the other. Considering it’s Gabe Newell, the male who teased fans for many years over the existence of Half-Life 3 (which caused such furor that he turned to outright rejecting its advancement afterwards), we might never understand. Either method, it’s good to see Newell doing well particularly considering that being grounded in New Zealand due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Xbox Series X and PS5 both release this holiday season. While Sony hasn’t offered a release date for its console, Microsoft CFO Amy Hood said that the Xbox Series X would introduce in November. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months as always.
