Although it may seem unusual to see what was when a Skyrim mod take on a brand-new life as its own independent entity, lots of effective mods wind up being transformed into much more successful video games. Vehicle Chess was originally a Dota 2 mod prior to it was launched as a standalone video game, and Dota 2, in turn, came from a Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos mod.
Let’s not forget the truth that Half-Life 2 has promoted about a million video games all on its own.
As it stands, all we really understand about The Forgotten City so far is that it is because of launch later this year, and will be coming to both Xbox One and PC. The original mod had more than 2.5 million downloads, and if you played it – or perhaps heard somebody discuss it – you might see some familiar faces in the full release this winter.
You can wishlist The Forgotten City on Steam now.
