Sri Lanka preparing to host LPL in August this year|Colombo Gazette
Sri Lanka is preparing to host the next edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) this year.
Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa stated that the LPL is arranged to be held in August.
He also stated that an LPL Administration will be developed with cabinet approval.
The Lanka Premier League is a Twenty20 cricket league released in Sri Lanka in 2015.
A number of foreign players participated in the LPL in 2015, which was played without viewers due to the fact that of the coronavirus.
Originally, the first season was supposed to be held from 18 August to 10 September 2018, but delayed several times due to administrative problems within SLC. (Colombo Gazette).
