RRQ to venture into PH esports and potentially choose up a LoL Wild Rift team
Indonesia-based esports company Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) is set to get in the Philippine esports landscape.
RRQ made the unexpected statement through its Facebook page on Thursday night, February 4.
” Hi Philippines! Are you people all set? Since today, we are pertaining to your location with a whole new level of excitement,” it stated.
However, the company did not disclose in which esports title it will contend in the nation.
” Can you guess which game title?” it added.
However Riot Games Southeast Asia might have ruined RRQ’s surprise for its Filipino fans.
Riot on Thursday bared its League of Legends: Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon Series: Preseason, a five-weekend long competition that has the Philippines as one of the 7 regions.
The video game developer currently revealed 3 welcomed teams for the Philippine tourney particularly Group Secret PH, Bren Esports and think what, RRQ PH.
Established in October 2013, RRQ started with a Dota 2 team prior to broadening to other esports titles including Mobile Legends where it found huge success.
Its ML team RRQ Hoshi is a two-time defending champion in MPL Indonesia and just recently completed third in the M2 World Championship won by Filipino side Bren.
RRQ has nine teams throughout Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, Garena Free Fire, Valorant, FIFA and Fortnite. It launched its Dota 2 squad in April 2019
