Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End both have representatives in the most recent Championship Team of the Week.

The XI – powered by WhoScored.com rankings – features Rovers’ Joe Rothwell and PNE midfielder Alan Browne.

Both players found the net on Boxing Day as Tony Mowbray’s group took a point in your home to Sheffield Wednesday while North End beat Derby County in the last seconds at Pride Park – 1-0.

Rothwell drew his side level with a great solo objective in the 2nd half – his second of the season after his strike at Brentford last month.

And Browne – wearing the captain’s armband – curled home a wonderful winner in the 97th minute with his left-foot, that his 3rd of the campaign.

Those results left Rovers and the Lilywhites neck and neck in the table, both on 29 points with Mowbray’s males a couple of places above (11th) due to their exceptional objective distinction.

Rothwell made a rating of 7 in Jaquob Crooke’s post-match scores, while George Hodgson provided Browne an equal-high of 7.5 for his big minute in injury time.
