Remo Stars representative, Oladimeji Oshode, states the club’s immediate target is to go back to the Nigeria Specialist Football League next season.

The Ijebu-based club last played in the topflight league in the 2016/17 season and were relegated after completing bottom of the league table with 29 points.

Talking with The PUNCH, Oladimeji stated the club would strive hard to guarantee that they returned to the topflight league.

He stated, “Like it has always been the tradition of the club, we constantly intend for success and for us to rate our success this season, we need to gain promotion back to the Nigeria Expert Football League because that is where we belong.

“Remo Stars have been known for excellent football, this season the number one target is to do whatever within our reach, in line with the guidelines and policies of the competitors, to get promotion back to the topflight league.

Oladimeji added that gamers and personnel of the club had undergone the mandatory COVID-19 tests and returned unfavorable.

“We’ve done the COVID-19 test two times and the players are tidy. We did one independently for ourselves and the state government also provided for the clubs in Ogun State, with Remo Stars inclusive. We have no casualty from the two tests.” Copyright PUNCH.
