Chantel Moore’s mom, Martha Martin, centre, using a yellow cape, was amongst individuals who gathered at the legislature Saturday to call for justice. Moore, a 26-year-old Port Alberni mother, was shot and killed in an encounter with police in Edmundston, N.B., in June throughout a wellness check. Authorities have said Moore threatened an officer with a knife, but her household conflicts this account, saying Moore was petite and safe.
