Psyonix exposes restructured Rocket League esports model|Dot Esports
Instead of addressing monetization, interaction, and support, Psyonix rather sent an email with details about totally restructuring the game’s esports scene.
This new circuit format is being described as an “open circuit” and is going to focus on three divides per season and 3 regional occasions per each split. All 3 splits will lead into one International Major together with a different World Champion, all within a single calendar year.
Each event leading into the International Majors will be used to earn points, with the teams with the most points receiving the bigger occasions. The standard of the restructure looks like it takes some inspiration from the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, with more occasions included in per split.

Rocket League Championship Series groups that certified for what would have been the 10th season of the league will have areas booked in the first six local competitions as long as they abide by roster limitation guidelines and don’t make a lot of changes. That breaks down into current RLCS teams getting into 2 complete splits automatically.
Also, present RLCS and Rival Series teams will get automatic qualification to the first split of a new weekly league that will run throughout each split. More details on that will be released in the future.
The new e-mail failed to resolve the complaints submitted by groups and the RLCS, even with some promising aspects shining through in the restructure. In a declaration to Esports Observer, Psyonix made it clear that interaction was a leading priority moving forward.
” We have actually been communicating actively with RLCS organizations and prominent Rocket League Esports neighborhood members to collect their feedback, address issues, and share info with them as soon as possible,” Psyonix stated. “We have no information to share about the next season of the RLCS yet, but these conversations have actually been exceptionally productive and we’re eagerly anticipating exposing more about the future of Rocket League Esports in the coming weeks.”
Ideally, the groups do get more information quickly and both sides can work to improve among the biggest esport scenes that has actually hit some rough spots over the last year.
