PBA: Tenorio safeguards Pringle winning top gamer award– ‘He’s our import’
LA Tenorio stated Barangay Ginebra teammate Stanley Pringle should have winning the 2020 Philippine Cup award as top gamer, citing Pringle’s role in the team copping the champion.
” He’s our import,” Tenorio said in a post published on the PBA website.
Tenorio stated Pringle kept Ginebra afloat when he and Japeth Aguilar were struggling to get into playing kind in the removal round.
” Essentially, Stan brought us in a great position in the playoffs when Japeth and I were not all set yet, not in good shape yet. He generally brought the team,” Tenorio stated.
Thanks to Pringle, Ginebra completed as the front runner heading into the quarterfinals regardless of health problems pestering the team.
Pringle, averaged 18.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.7 helps in the bubble conference, narrowly beat Phoenix shooter Matthew Wright for the conference finest gamer.
The aspect that slanted the award in Pringle’s favor was the PBA vote.
