WASHINGTON The Washington Football team will make its very first playoff appearance in five years on January 9, but fans will not be at FedExField to witness the moment. The team revealed on Monday that it would continue its policy of not permitting fans during the playoff run due to COVID limitations.

” Following continuous limitations from the State of Maryland and Prince George’s County regarding conference limitations due to COVID, we will not have the ability to bring fans to our upcoming playoff video game on FedExField on January 9,” the group said in a declaration. “Our whole team, specifically our players, will miss our passionate fans in the stadium as we compete against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We are grateful for the support of our neighborhood and encourage everyone to remain safe.”
