Amid a rough start for the New Orleans Pelicans, 23-year-old Lonzo Ball might be used as a bargaining chip in his team’s efforts to fix their lineup.

As a premier playmaker, and a leading protector, Ball is a man that will produce much interest on the trade market. In a report by ESPN, the Bulls and Warriors are 2 of the newest groups to be described as “interested” in the young point player.

As a young team growing, the Bulls have absolutely nothing to lose by bringing in the oldest Ball boy. Despite their gifted lineup (Zach LaVine, Coby White, Lauri Markkanen), the Bulls still have a long way to go if they wish to make the playoffs in the East. Having Zo boosts their defense and should make it simpler for LaVine to score.

In Golden State, the Warriors are a team looking to remain competitive. And while the combined powers of Steph Curry and Draymond Green certainly provides a possibility, strengthening their depth with Ball might be another method to guarantee they get the results they desire.

Needless to say, Zo has a skillset that lots of groups see value in. The Warriors and Pelicans are only 2 teams in a long list of interested celebrations, that includes the Knicks, Raptors, Mavericks, Clippers, and Magic.

The Pelicans are likewise talking with teams about JJ Redick.

It will be interesting to see where they end up and what the Pelicans look like by the end of the trade due date.
