Well-respected reporter James Pearce stated that he would like to see Neco Williams start for Liverpool as they face off against Leicester City tomorrow.

The 19-year-old has been a crucial part of Jurgen Klopp’s team because last season, getting a Premier League winner’s medal after the Reds won their very first domestic title since 1990.

Ever since, he has been playing as 2nd fiddle to Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has developed into a regional legend because his introduction to the very first group in 2017.

Wales manager Ryan Giggs is a big fan of Williams, explaining him as “exceptional” given that he got his very first cap for the Welsh senior side (through Sky Sports).

Reacting to a fan during a Q&A session hosted by The Athletic, Pearce named Williams as the gamer he want to see line-up at the right-hand side of the defence.

” Looks like either Williams or Milner at right-back on Sunday,” he said. “Williams returned from Wales task with a bruised foot – so he’s being examined by the club medical staff.

” If he’s fit I ‘d like to see the child start as I simply believe he will offer LFC more moving forward.”

Pearce is right. It will be down to Williams or Milner regarding who will include against a side that has actually threatened going forward this season.

Milner could be the one that Klopp opts for, as he is effectively Mr Versatile in this Liverpool team.

With the attacking hazard that the Foxes have, Klopp will not be taking any threats as he aims to stay in touch with the teams at the top.
