Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday afternoon made a triumphant entry into Kisii town, regardless of earlier protests versus his visit.

Ruto was initially expected to satisfy with boda riders at Nyamarambe stadium in the borders of the town.

However, following the early morning protests, the DP diverted his convoy into Kisii town where he accused unnamed individuals of sponsoring the early morning protests.

“I was welcomed by boda riders due to the fact that they know I understand their problems. I likewise came here as the Deputy President of Kenya. I heard someone state I’m losing time conference with hustlers but I forgive him because his father was Vice President. I will return to satisfy mom mbogas, kwani watado? (What can they do?),” the DP stated.

Ruto was accompanied by Kisii Deputy Guv Joash Maangi, South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro, to name a few.

Visibly present in the convoy were controversial business people Don Bosco Gichana, and Zahir Jhanda – whom Ruto introduced as “mtu wa gold”.
