Boston Celtics forward Semi Ojeleye did not shy away when asked by a fan what his thoughts were on a potential trade for James Harden.

Hosting a Christmas giveaway on his Twitch stream, Ojeleye reacted to the query by revealing that he did not believe the embattled Rockets’ guard would “fit” with the existing Celtics roster.

While it is still unclear how severe any trade conversations in between the Celtics and Firecrackers are at this point, Ojeleye’s remarks come in the middle of reports that Boston is amongst the groups Harden has designated as one of his favored locations.

Though the forward may be right in his evaluation that the former MVP would present a difficult roster fit given his need for ball control, the remark is unusual as gamers tend to avoid discussing possible workers moves. The discussion was also rather disconcerting, given the potential that Ojeleye himself, might be included in any potential deal between the two clubs.

Operating in the last year of his novice contract, the 26-year old functions remarkable defense and above-average three-point shooting, as he has established himself as a key element off the Celtics bench. Initially prepared in the 2nd round of the 2017 NBA Draft, Ojeleye-should he stay with the Celtics-is likely to see action as the main defender versus numerous Eastern Conference big guys, much as he did on opening night against Giannis Antetokounmpo.

If the Celtics wondered about how Harden would be invited by his possible teammates, Ojeley’s remarks may not be the response they were wishing for.
