Are the Seattle Seahawks the most likely landing spot for Jadeveon Clowney in 2020? One reporter believes so.

Seattle Times Seahawks reporter Bob Condotta addressed fan questions for a mailbag column he published on Tuesday. The very first concern he dealt with pertained to whether Clowney would return to the team.

Condotta kept in mind that the Cleveland Browns ensured the wage for Olivier Vernon, which likely takes them out of the running for Clowney. The Browns reportedly have had the greatest deal for Clowney.

Condotta figures that the odds are “most likely increasing he plays another year in Seattle with every other choice that fails.”

The thinking is that Clowney might feel comfortable returning to the group he played for last season and reentering free company after the year. On Monday, a report stated an AFC team had interest in signing Clowney, however it’s uncertain whether that is possible.

Clowney had 31 tackles, 3 sacks, 4 required fumbles and an interception in 13 games last season for Seattle.
