Off-spinner Washington Sundar lived his dream in Brisbane previously today when he played a vital role in his launching Test to help India register a well-known win at the Gabba against Australia.

Sundar scored 84 runs in the match and selected 4 wickets as India beat Australia by 3 wickets on Day 5 to clinch the four-match series 2-1 and keep the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the second time in a row Down Under.

Sundar, who belonged to the Test team as a net bowler, got to showcase his talent with bat and ball only since of the spate of injuries that plagued Group India in Australia.

India lost 8 of its first-team players during the series but rookies like Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur and Shubman Gill kept the belief in the group alive through their efficiencies.
