Ghana worldwide Isaac Cofie assisted an objective for Sivasspor on Tuesday when the team posted a 2-1 win over Adana Demirspor in the Round of 16 of the Turkish Cup competition.
The midfielder who has been restricted to starting functions in the Turkish Super Lig this season was called in his group’s first eleven for the Cup match today to help the team search for a win.
Displaying excellent form on the matchday, Isaac Cofie worked his socks off in the middle of the pitch to secure the backline of Sivasspor while adding the needed push to their attack.
In the 37 minute, the midfielder assisted Yasin Oztekin to score to shoot the house team into the lead.
Regrettably for the team, they could not protect the lead for long and yielded five minutes later on when Yunus Akgun discovered the back of the web to restore parity Adana Demirspor.
Despite emerging as the better side in the 2nd half, Sivasspor might not net the needed 2nd goal and needed to head into additional time. A minute into the second 15 minutes, a Mustapha Yatabare equalizer handed Sivasspor a 2-1 lead to essentially choose the contest.
