The road to playoffs hasn’t exactly been smooth cruising for Fnatic this Summer Split. The League of Legends group is currently incorporated the regular season standings for 5th place, and they even have the most deaths of any group in the LEC to boot.

As of week four, Fnatic have 121 cumulative deaths as a roster, three more than FC Schalke 04, who being in last place with an abysmal 1-8 record. This ought to be quite alarming for LEC fans, who considered the perennial European champions a contender for the crown this season.

Over half of those deaths belong to top laner Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau and assistance Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov, who are the LEC death leaders this season with 35 and 40 deaths, respectively.

Both gamers have not carried out up to par these past couple of weeks, but the roster as an unit hasn’t played well together. From untimely errors to unforced errors, Fnatic haven’t remained consistent enough to gather any faith from their fanbase simply yet.

They’ve won only one video game over the previous 3 weeks, even sporting a loss against Schalke 04. Fans were stunned by this defeat, particularly with how Schalke have actually played over the entire split. Luckily for Fnatic, the LEC went on a two-week break, which might have helped them charge and regroup for the second half of the season.

For week 5, Fnatic will be kicking things off with matches against Group Vigor and Misfits Video Gaming. Both teams are coming off of substantial upset wins from the weekend before, with Vigor removing Origen and Misfits beating MAD Lions.

You can catch Fnatic in action when the 2020 LEC Summer season Split returns on Friday, July 17.
