FaZe Clan’s first series with Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken could not have actually gone any much better. They dispatched his previous CS: GO side, Group Liquid, in two maps today.

No one on the BLAST Premier skill group predicted a FaZe triumph prior to the two groups opened their 2021 BLAST campaign versus each other. FaZe were debuting Twistzz, in addition to a “new IGL.” Additionally, captain Marcelo “coldzera” David stated this would be Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson’s last event with the team.

But it appears like olof is going out with a bang. He led the way for FaZe on their map pick, Dust II. His 23 kills were critical to FaZe considering that their late T-side rounds allowed them to take the back-and-forth first map 16-11.

The first map provided a sign to fans that we were in for an amazing series heading into Liquid’s choice, Nuke. However FaZe had other plans and absolutely shredded Liquid by themselves choice 16-1.

Liquid took the opening pistol round but then gave up 16-straight rounds. Twistzz, Helvijs “broky” Saukants, and Håvard “rain” Nygaard were getting whatever they desired versus a team that didn’t look like Liquid. FaZe were all smiles and giggles in the in-game comms.

With this 2-0 triumph, FaZe will advance to the winners finals versus Natus Vincere, while Liquid fall to play MIBR.
