Esports group backed by Beckham to play on London market
An esports group backed by David Beckham is to list in London within weeks.
In what would be a first for the City, Guild Esports means to drift on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in the autumn, perhaps even next month.
It is seeking to raise about ₤ 20 million from its going public that would value the company at about ₤ 50 million, considerably less than the ₤ 100 million that bosses were supposedly looking for in the summertime.
Guild has four esports gamers on its books and the additional cash will be used to recruit approximately another 20 expert gamers in the next 18 months. To start with the gamers will contend in 4 video games: Fortnite; Counter-Strike: Global Offensive; Rocket League;
