CrossfireX beta launches later on this month
You might not be familiar with it, but tactical shooter CrossFire is one of the most-played PC video games worldwide – having actually accumulated over 650m registered players considering that it initially introduced in 2007. And if you want to follow suit, you won’t need to wait much longer, as the beta for brand-new title CrossfireX begins next month.
That’s according to a Microsoft Store listing, which states the beta will introduce on 25th June (thanks, Gematsu). The video game is set for release on Xbox One at some point in 2020, and will be a free-to-play title. There’s still no word on a PlayStation release, but as it’s “first to console” on Xbox, it’s most likely to take place at some time.
The game’s primary developer is SmileGate Home entertainment, however Control designer Solution has been prepared in to aid with the CrossfireX’s story project. As for the multiplayer gameplay, you can expect something similar to CS: GO, with “objective-based objectives across a range of timeless and ingenious modes including firmly crafted gameplay and cinematic visuals”.
