Can these three teams continue to top the charts in the 2nd half of the spring?

It’s difficult to picture that we’re currently midway through the 2021 Spring Split. But after 3 weeks of play, the LCS has actually already finished the preliminary robin of the season.

There have been a few standout League of Legends teams this year, however Cloud9, Team Dignitas, and Team Liquid are at the top of the group KDA leaderboards in the 2021 LCS Spring Split.

C9 have the highest KDA of any group in the LCS, according to Oracle’s Elixir. This isn’t too surprising, however, since they have actually been carrying out at an exceptionally high rate since the LCS Lock In tournament. They lead the league with a shocking 171 kills, a 1.44 KDA, and an excellent 7-2 record.

However speaking of surprises, Dignitas have the second-highest KDA in the league after a big turn-around over the last two weeks. They sit right behind C9 with a 1.43 KDA and have the second-fewest deaths amongst LCS teams. Their consistency over the last 2 weeks has actually netted them wins over groups like TSM, Evil Geniuses, and FlyQuest.

Meanwhile, Liquid hold the 3rd spot with a KDA of 1.24. The star-studded lineup has 113 eliminates and 91 deaths, which is the lowest death count of any LCS group.

But Liquid have run into some rough spots with consistency over the past two weeks, losing versus TSM, EG, and 100 Burglars. They did get a huge win versus C9 this weekend, but there’s still plenty of work to do for them to strengthen themselves as the very best team in the region.

Each of these groups has a huge test this weekend, though. C9 have matches against EG and 100 Burglars, Dignitas will play versus 100 Thieves, and Liquid have a rematch against TSM.

The 2nd half of the 2021 LCS Spring Split starts on Friday, Feb. 26 at 5pm CT
