FLASHPOINT is among the newest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) esports leagues, operated by competitive gaming platform FACEIT. Season among the league concluded in April, with its inaugural teams consisting of huge time companies like Envy Video gaming. Some huge changes are coming ahead of its second season, most especially the visit of Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles as Commissioner of FLASHPOINT and Vice President of Brand for its parent company B Site.

Mykles most recently worked full time for esports organization Cloud9, another among the leagues inaugural groups. He is a skilled specialist in the competitive video gaming world, known most notably for his work as analyst and expert. From 2015 to 2016 he co-owned esports company LA Renegades, but ultimately offered the group after a scandal that cause him being prohibited from team involvement at all Riot-sanctioned competitions. This brand-new role will see him take the lead behind the scenes, expanding B Website’s competition ventures to consist of other games beyond CS: GO. He will also be accountable for B Site’s initiatives from a brand name point of view, including those associated to FLASHPOINT.

Mykles commented to Esports Expert about his new position, saying “I am incredibly delighted to continue building the live tournament and content prepare for both Flashpoint and B Website. We intend to serve passionate, adult fans with content brought to them by the most innovative, enjoyable, and expert voices from their favorite video games …” As Commissioner, Mykles is cited as being the “official link between [the league] and fans” which could indicate this will be his most popular behind the scenes function yet. Ari Segal, CEO of Immortals Video Gaming Club and Establishing Member of B Website, praised the decision, saying “There is no one much better suited to work together with players, talent, and the community …” With FLASHPOINT being a team-owned effort, Mykles receiving the stamp of approval from group owners and CEO’s is an excellent sign for whats to come.
