It’s that time of year where city edition jerseys for various NBA teams are starting to leakage on social media.

Even Enes Kanter wished to give fans a preview of the Boston Celtics’ unique uniforms, which according to rumors, appear to be based off the appearance of the 17 NBA Championship banners handing in the rafters at TD Garden.

While we like the idea here, the execution is a little underwhelming.

Luckily, Twitter user @beardjam had an idea that much better paid homage to Boston’s roots. Behold:

That’s quite fitting, considering you barely can stroll a block in the Greater Boston Area without discovering a Dunkin’. Let’s have Jayson Tatum attempt this on for size:

This isn’t the very first time Celtics fans on social media have proposed a strong idea for the city jersey. Last season, @Celtics_Junkies had a terrific one that paid homage to the well-known Rainbow Swash design painted on a Dorchester tank.

Fun reality:

No matter what the designers at Nike create for Boston, chances are it will not be much better than either of these.

So we position the question: in between the Dunkin’ and Rainbow Swash jerseys, which one would you cop?
