After a string of disappointing outcomes following a remarkable 2020 project, Heroic has pulled the trigger on a number of CS: GO lineup swaps.

The organization moved Johannes “b0RUP” Borup and Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen to the bench earlier today. Just an hour later on, Brave presented the signings of Ismail “refrezh” Ali and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck.

These announcements began the early morning of the IEM Katowice playoffs, an event in which Heroic were removed in the 2nd round of the group stage centerpiece.

Last year was a banner year for Heroic. The company held the No. 1 area in the HLTV rankings for three weeks and built up specifying wins at ESL One Cologne and DreamHack Open Fall. However they hit a rough spot in November and now feel that a modification is necessary nearly 4 months later.

Over a week back, Heroic was obtained by the Omaken Sports organization. The team’s in-game leader, Casper “cadiaN” Møller, praised the organization’s ability for “offering modifications rapidly” and thinks this will push Heroic further forward.

Both refrezh and sjuush sign up with from MAD Lions, who got in the Danish Counter-Strike scene in late 2019 after OverActive Media merged their brand name with Splyce to form one company. Their departures come simply a month after coach Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu left and Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand was moved to mousesports.

The new-look Brave will debut at ESL Pro League season 13, starting on March 8.
