The Atletico Madrid midfielder is keen to make a move to Arsenal and is hoping a deal can be sealed between both clubs. The North London Club have been in negotiations with Atletico Madrid to possibly sign Partey, but a £48.5m valuation for the player is surely a hefty price to pay. That essentially makes him the 20th most expensive La Liga player and the 99th most expensive player in the top-five European leagues.

The Ghana International has netted 3 goals in 35 appearances in the 2019/20 season for Atletico Madrid. There is stiff competition in the race for the Atletico star from other Top Tier European League Clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Roma. Arsenal have submitted a £43m bid to sign Partey.

This saga is set to run all summer long. It was reported that Mikel Arteta, Head Coach of Arsenal,
views the Atletico Madrid star as the top central midfield target and will continue to pursue him. He sees a defensive midfield as a crucial need and hopes to find a well-rounded midfielder who’s able to help out at both ends of the pitch.

Arsenal is also tracking the Leicester starlet Dennis Gyamfi. The 18 year old’s contract at Leicester expires on June 30th and will be free to leave the club in three weeks. Manchester United, Feyenoord and Premiership Club, Rangers also have their eyes on him.

If the Gunners were to sign him this summer, they would only have to pay compensation as he’ll move from Leicester on a free transfer.

The right back has yet to make an senior appearance for the Foxes with the likes of James Justin and Ricardo Pereira blocking his pathway to the first team. However, he is a regular for the Under-18 squad, making a total of 27 appearances and providing 1 assist.

3. Marc Roca

Arsenal are seemingly closing in on the signing of Marc Roca, the 23-year-old midfielder from Espanyol. Roca reportedly has a £35million release clause in his contract with the La Liga club. Although the Gunners are head to head with Contenders like Everton and AC Milan, they are reportedly leading their rivals for the 23-year-old who’s only under contract till June 2022.

Arsenal’s Manager Mikel Arteta is a known admirer of the former Spain Under-21 international and has expressed that he would like to bring Roca to Emirates Stadium during this summer transfer window.

Throughout the 2019/20 LaLiga season, the defensive midfielder has scored 2 goals in 24 games. It is likely that Espanyol will be forced to make sales due to their rock-bottom position in the LaLiga table coupled with the financial implications the pandemic had on the club.

4. Arkadiusz Milik

Daily Star claims that Arsenal are leading their transfer rivals in the race to sign Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli. The Pole is unlikely going to extend his contract beyond its 2021 expiry date and may follow in the footsteps of his former Arsenal mentor, Denis Bergkamp.

The pair worked closely during Milik’s stint at Ajax. The Napoli Star commented on their relationship in 2016: “When I joined Ajax, we had a good relationship because I wanted to spend time after training, working on my technique. Dennis is a special person, a player who had a great career and you can constantly learn from him. I try to take as much as possible from him.”

The 26-year-old forward has scored 46 goals in 109 appearances for Napoli since joining them in 2016, 12 of which was from this term. He suffered serious injury problems during his time at the Italian Club but remains highly regarded in European football and a top-class scorer, with 107 goals to his name in only 252 appearances.

Juventus are also reported to be in the race for the Serie A ace, but Arsenal could possibly secure a transfer for Arkadiusz Milik after Napoli dropped their original £45million asking price for anyone except their Serie A arch rival.

5. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Transfer out)

Arsenal will likely keep Aubameyang until the end of his contract in 2021 if they cannot seal a £20m or more deal for the striker as they do not want him to leave on a free transfer. Arsenal has yet to offer Aubameyang a new deal with his contract drawing towards its end. PSG are claimed to be in the midst of negotiating a £38m agreement with them for the Club captain.

According to reports, Aubameyang has also been in talks with Inter Milan stars ahead of a potential summer San Siro transfer. Chelsea are reported to be monitoring Aubameyang’s situation closely as they search for a new centre-forward. Napoli and Real Madrid are also interested in bringing Aubameyang to Italy and Spain respectively, with the latter setting a June 15 deadline for Arsenal to make a decision over the striker.

The 31 year old Gabon international has been outstanding for Arsenal since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, scoring a whopping 61 goals in 97 appearances.
