‘Animal Crossing’ was the most-talked-about game on Twitter in 2020

In a year where the world needed to stay house to protect during a global pandemic, a lot of us turned to online interruptions to help us browse through 2020.
Gaming was a popular release for individuals sheltering inside your home, as it used an escape to other truths, probably some better than ours.
Among the most popular games launched in 2020 was Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch. The video game allows gamers to live in an island and engage in chores, some enjoyable, while others tedious.
The game caught the creativity of players and non-gamers alike, and, according to Statista, Animal Crossing: New Horizons offered more than 13 million systems worldwide in the first six weeks of its release.

Video gaming events were of high interest also, as numerous fans discussed what would claim the leading spot of game of the year at the 2020 Game Awards.
Other much-discussed occasions on Twitter include the Future of Gaming on PS5 Event, Niconico Web Chokaigi 2020 and the Xbox Games Showcase. While in the world of Esports, the most discussed occasions were the League of Legends Worlds 2020, EVO Japan 2020, CBLoL Split 2 Finals 2020, Call of Task League 2020 Championship and the Overwatch League Grand Finals 2020.
The social media platform described: “From international championships to major announcements, Twitter continued to be the virtual esports bar in 2020. The esports conversation was up 14 percent compared to 2019.”
There is no doubt that 2021 guarantees a great deal of excitement for players, as more video games are launched for the new consoles. Fans can eagerly anticipate titles like Gunman 3, Far Cry 6 and the newest Halo game.
Some excitement is also booked for playing the highly expected Cyberpunk 2077 on the next-generation consoles, after players had a lot to complain about with playing the video game on the previous generation.
