ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)– The Rochester Americans, who opened their season last Friday, might be hosting fans at Blue Cross Arena in the future.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Wednesday that big arenas and stadiums can enable fans in stands, reliable Feb. 23. Locations with a capacity of more than 10,000 will be allowed to operate at up to 10% capability, pending approval from the New york city State Department of Health. Fans will also need to test negative for the virus within 3 days of the occasion. Other measures will consist of compulsory face coverings, physical distancing and temperature checks.
