49ers Injuries: A minimum of another 4 players out for season ending
Well, it’s certainly been a year. The 49ers’ season will not actually end until it is formally 2021, when they’ll wish to extinguish the 2020 vibes from their collective memory.
When they do play the Seahawks on Sunday, it will be, just as it’s been all year, with a diminished lineup. Kyle Shanahan’s on Monday, stated and seemed like it is exceptionally unlikely that Jimmy Garoppolo returns. He said he has yet to speak with team medical professionals, but absolutely nothing in their evaluation of Garoppolo’s status has actually altered.
And unlike last week, C.J. Beathard will not have much to deal with outside of George Kittle. It’s Richie James Jr. and Kendrick Bourne time, which, hi, possibly they both have a game. They’ve both shown they can.
Shanahan stated Monday that Brandon Aiyuk was amongst five players to suffer sprains, together with Trent Williams. Both will miss the season ending. Aiyuk suffered an ankle sprain, apparently on that low drop on the 3rd play of the game, and Williams suffered an elbow sprain, which will not need surgical treatment.
Protective end Jordan Willis suffered a high ankle sprain and will also be out in addition to Richard Sherman, who’s calf injury will have limited him to 5 total games this year, in what he has actually said is probably his last with the 49ers.
The following gamers are day-to-day:
Both Jeff Wilson Jr. (stinger) and K’Waun Williams (shin contusion) are “great to go.” The group also had a couple of Reserve/COVID -19 list relocations. 2 gamers, in long snapper Taybor Pepper and center Hroniss Grasu, went on the list, while running back Austin Walter and fullback Josh Hokit (practice squad) were activated off it.
If Skule can’t go, the 49ers might have to toss Daniel Brunskill or Mike McGlinchey (or Laken Tomlinson?) at left take on. Skule, by the method, was the team’s emergency situation long snapper.
With Grasu already out, that means Colton McKivitz likely at right guard and Tony Bergstrom potentially at center, if Brunskill gets shifted. The only other offending linemen the team has are on the practice team: Dakoda Shepley (guard), Aaron Neary (center) and Isaiah Williams (guard/center). Williams, who actually began his career with Washington, would be the only real take on in shape outside of Brunskill.
