The year started out well for Nocona athletics. Both basketball groups made the playoffs, however in various methods.

The Woman Indians won their 2nd straight district title. They won playoff video games against Tolar and Merkel.

The Nocona boys had to combat and claw their way into the playoffs. After four straight district losses, including 2 by one point, the Indians won three of their final 4 games. That also included back-to-back wins against Henrietta for the fourth seed.

Fall saw the Woman Indians continue to stay at their high requirement. The cross nation group finished second in district to get approved for the local satisfy where they ended up sixth out of 16 groups.

The Nocona beach ball group completed third in district, but won video games against Brock and Sonora to reach the local quarterfinals.
